ExMatrix, also called MedMatrix in Australia– CO2 laser wavelength is 10600nm, which mainly used for gasifying the skin tissue, the principle is based on the theory selective photothermolysis. Water in the skin is the mainly target of the CO2 fractional laser, after absorbed the energy of the laser, water will release heat, evaporate and gasify immediately. Naturally the cutaneous lesion will be eliminated flashily. It is arguably the most versatile and useful of all skin rejuvenating lasers. This laser by-passes the top layer of the skin (epidermis) and targets the deep layer (dermis) in which there is collagen and other elements that make for good quality skin. The laser heats this layer to an optimum temperature which stimulates it, so promoting remodeling of the dermis to produce a better-quality skin.
